AG SUBODH KANTAK’S CASE AGAINST AIRES ADJOURNED TO 25TH JAN

PANJIM: Panjim Civil Judge Senior Division Mr. Edgar Fernandes today adjourned to 25th January the civil defamation case filed by Goa’s controversial Advocate General Mr. Subodh Kantak against Adv. Aires Rodrigues.
Today Mr. Subodh Kantak and Adv. Aires Rodrigues examined in Court each other’s documents submitted in the defamation case. Judge Edgar Fernandes will now frame the issues in the case at the next hearing.
After Adv. Rodrigues had highlighted the exorbitant fees being paid to the Advocate General, Mr. Subodh Kantak initiated two defamation proceedings against Adv. Rodrigues which from the JMFC’s court moved to the High Court and later to the Supreme Court of India. The criminal defamation case filed by Subodh Kantak against Adv. Aires Rodrigues was dismissed after Subodh Kantak absconded from appearing for the hearings.
Advocate General of Goa, Mr. Subodh Kantak has sought Rs 15 crores by way of compensation from Adv. Rodrigues which he has vowed to use for charitable causes like old age homes, orphanages and towards the welfare of animals.
Mr. Subodh Kantak who had been accused by Adv. Aires Rodrigues of being the country’s highest paid Advocate General has had to face perhaps the longest cross examination ever with Adv. Rodrigues intensely quizzing Mr. Subodh Kantak on his character, conduct and competency as Advocate General. Adv. Rodrigues has cross examined Advocate General Subodh Kantak for over 26 hours.

All cases involving Aires Rordigues seem to be postponed.
Each an everyday we hear cases being adjourned or posponed.
Seems like the POlice and Court authorities are running scared and looking for a way out and excuses.
Well done Aires...keep these idiots pre-occupied and busy on their toes.
Subodh Kantak & Sunita Sawant and their erstwhile colleagues just take ordinary and hard working Goans for a ride for their personal benefit.

Goans...come 25th January 2011...this case will be posponed to 25th Feb...then to 25th March ...then 25th April an so on and so forth.
The only guaranteed end to thses cases is when the individuals concerned are dead.
Newspapers will be happy as it fills a few columns. Advocates are happy as it fills their pockets and the Poor Goan Taxpayers have to pay the bills in increased taxes.
Welcome to the worlds most efficient Judicial system.

  3. Yes N.Fernandes....
Welcome to the world's most efficient and non-corrupt system!!! I other words, "most inefficient and most corrupt system". It's a record for Guinness Book. Come on Adv. Aires, keep them on their toes, but why should it be at the expense of the tax payers??? Can't these rogues who have already looted more than half of Goa share the cost???
