PONDA: The Home Minister, Mr Ravi Naik, on Saturday, said that the former chief minister, late Dayanand Bandodkar was an architect of the Goa state and had a vision to develop it, by providing all assistance to the poor and downtrodden.
Whereas according to the majority of the public of Goa, Bandodkar was the ARCHITECT of trying to quietly merge Goa with Maharashtra and in one word sell off Goa to Maharashtra and destroy its identity forever.
Mr Naik was speaking on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Bandodkar, after paying floral tributes at his statue at Farmagudi, Ponda. The Transport Minister, Mr Sudin Dhavlikar, Priol MLA, Mr Deepak Dhavlikar also paid floral tributes at Late Bandodkar’s burst, on the occasion.

The chor late Dayanand Bandodkar was a son of a Maharasthrian, whose mother slept with that Maharasthrian ghanti at bandora. The chor had a vision to merge Goa with Maharasthra through the back door. The chor had a vision to promote Goa to outside world and where by the present politicians can enjoy in drug peddling and pimping.
ReplyDeleteThanks to DR Jack De Sequeira We Goans are Goans and NortMarathi's as Bandorkar wanted it. The traitor Bandorkar wanted to merge Goa with Maharashtra thus eliminating Goan identity. I have no regrets spilling my true Goan blood during the Opinion Poll to save the merger. The current politicians should thank DR Sequera they are in power to siphon and destroy Goa's wealth.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the State Home Minister, the government is trying hard to fulfill the dream of late D.B. Bandodkar. The latter's dream was to merge Goa in Maharashtra. Is this what the present government is trying hard to fulfill?
ReplyDeleteBandodkar was not the architect of the Goa State but his architectural plan was to turn Goa into half a taluka of Maharashtra, destroying Goa's identity in toto, the very identity that earned Goa its Statehood.
On the other hand, if Bandodkar had a vision to develop Goa (this vision must have come to him after the Opinion Poll rejecting his pet dream of merger) by providing all assistance to the poor and downtrodden, 50 years after the so-called liberation of Goa and nearly 40 years after Bandodkar's death, the State Government, according to the same Home Minister, is still trying to fulfill that vision. Has the number of the poor and downtrodden increased or decreased during all these years? And why are there any "downtrodden" - badly and unfairly treated people - despite all the "trying hard"?
Dr. Jack De Sequeira was the man of great caliber and full of respect unlike real born bas..rd D.Bandodkar of. Has Govt. ever celebrated centenary year of this great Father of Goa?. It is disgusting to see how these pro-Marathiwalas praise the traitor of post Goa. If they have so much love for Marathi I challenge them to go to Maharashtra and win the election and show. Will they never.
ReplyDeleteAlong with these Pro-Marathiwalas, crumb eaters like
Many of Bandodkars own MInisters in the MGP Party, have now admitted that his vision for Goa and his methods of ahceiving it were shameful.
ReplyDeleteBandodkar was not a seasoned or experienced Politician. He came into power by sheer fluke. No doubt the money he had, played a major part in his political ambitions.
Any man, who takes a loaded GUN to a man who is un-armed, becmes all powerful.Similarly, Bandodkar took all his rupees and overwhelmed the poor and subjugated them to Vote for him.
At the time of the first elections in Goa , many were voters were uneducated. Many did not know what Modern Democracy was.To win any election ,one had to make false and ridiculous promises.
The Democracy that Bandodkar promoted was corruption. It exists even today, but is more excessive, rampant and more deadlier.
Today the MGP Party is virtually non existent. It does not command a huge voter base.It has become a relic like the dinosaurs. The only thing that keeps it together, is money and not Policys or ethics. It can be described a a failed Party.
Perhaps this failure to be a major and continuing Political force must be levelled against Bandodkar, for his selfish interests and vision to merge Goa with Maharastra.
Goans today are highly educated.I doubt there are many Goans that will celebrate the Birthday of a person that wanted to sell them lock , stock and barrell to the Maharastrians for his own personal profit, agenda and interests.
I for one wiill not be celebrating or paying any reverence to Bandodkars Birthday. His cronies, henchmen and uneducated morons can do so.For all I care...Bandodkar can go to HELL.
Even if Bandodkar succeeded in merging Goa with Maharastra, there would come a time and period in history, when Goans would demand de-merging.So in retrospect, he was not creating a unique stature for Goa.He was doing so , so that in future years, blood would be shed. That was his vision.
On paper India may be a Democracy. But in practice it is a conglomeration of corrupt & greedy rulers.Democracy in India and Goa is a profitable family run business.Once in power, recruit your whole family, includings the dog and cows & pigs to run the country.
I feel the dogs, cows and pigs would run Goa better than these two-legged, brainless and uneducated animals.
ReplyDeleteGoan identity has been built, besides other aspects of the comon life, laws, religions, etics, comunal harmony, based in the concani language as comon language and portuguese language as oficial language in Goa (EIP), and all administratives and historicals documentas, there for, are written in portuguese from 1510 till some years after 1961. This are two pilars of the goan identity. After baning portuguese language in Goa, Daman and Diu, as oficial language, and introducing devanagray writing to express the concani language before written in portuguese alphabet...,this two pilars are broken and goan identity condemned to finish. The new model of education, plus imigration from others parts of India into Goa, will give in the near future the last sacrament to make the transition to a new goan identity. India was a inglish colony that´s why they speak inglish. Goa was a portuguese province and it will be natural in Goa (EIP) also maintain portuguese language, as the inglish language is in british India, realy this is a great injustice done to goans, damanens and diuenses, sacrificing goan identity in order to get the real integration in the british india.
ReplyDeleteBandodkar had vision and with this vision he missed seeing Ravi Naik accepting Matka on the corner Ponda Market near Motorcycle pilots. So what vision he had? Only to loot. If bandodkar had vision, he would have finished all the criminals like ravi naik from the society. Ravi Naik was just an ordinay motorcycle pilot then to matka and now to drugs, therefore all petty criminals must either be counselled at the early age or sent to tihar jail before they become the cancer of society. This is another soft corner for MGP signalling them home coming for a ticket for his son or himself.
ReplyDeleteArre Kuddea, First give education to your son Roy! Or are you having vision also that Roy will be DON of Columbia?
ReplyDeleteBandorkar was an architect to merge Goa with Ghanti Land Kamat is an architect to opening public toilets and building slums in Goa. Both these men should have been tried for treason and hanged. Wake up Goans and create a new and honest beginning for Goa ,let us be new architects and build a better future for Goa. .
ReplyDeleteDear Uskogoenkar, can we please change the word "liberated" with the actual "invaded" ? After all the enlightenment on niz goenkar, we should not consider ourselves liberated.
ReplyDeleteThank you Neville, sparred me from writing. Goa was invaded and mutilated by the Indians, they never liberated us, they colonised us like cattle's.
