THE DECEPTIVE VISION BANDODKAR HAD FOR GOA by N. Fernandes, London

Many of Bandodkars own MInisters in the MGP Party, have now admitted that his vision for Goa and his methods of achieving it were shameful. Bandodkar was not a seasoned or experienced Politician. He came into power by sheer fluke. No doubt the money he had, played a major part in his political ambitions.
Any man, who takes a loaded GUN to a man, who is un-armed, becomes all powerful. Similarly, Bandodkar took all his rupees and overwhelmed the poor and subjugated them to Vote for him.
At the time of the first elections in Goa , many were voters were uneducated. Many did not know what Modern Democracy was.To win any election; one had to make false and ridiculous promises.
The Democracy that Bandodkar promoted was corruption. It exists even today, but is more excessive, rampant and more deadlier.
Today the MGP Party is virtually non existent. It does not command a huge voter base. It has become a relic like the dinosaurs. The only thing that keeps it together, is money and not Policies or ethics. It can be described a a failed Party.
Perhaps this failure to be a major and continuing Political force must be levelled against Bandodkar, for his selfish interests and vision to merge Goa with Maharastra.
Goans today are highly educated. I doubt there are many Goans that will celebrate the Birthday of a person that wanted to sell them lock , stock and barrell to the Maharastrians for his own personal profit, agenda and interests.
I for one wiill not be celebrating or paying any reverence to Bandodkars Birthday. His cronies, henchmen and uneducated morons can do so. For all I care...Bandodkar can go to HELL.
Even if Bandodkar succeeded in merging Goa with Maharastra, there would come a time and period in history, when Goans would demand de-merging. So in retrospect, he was not creating a unique stature for Goa. He was doing so, so that in future years, blood would be shed. That was his vision.
On paper India may be a Democracy. But in practice it is a conglomeration of corrupt & greedy rulers. Democracy in India and Goa is a profitable family run business. Once in power; recruit your whole family, including the dog and cows & pigs to run the country.

Bandodkar always had a crooked dream for Goa. He was a dirty man, as in truth he was illegally born to a lady whose lover was a maharashtrian. Digambar Cowmuth is also a b@#$%^/?d like bandodkar so he will obiviously try to honour this traitor. Digambar Cowmuth forgot that because of Dr. Sequeira he is a CM today else he would not even have been a politician.

  4. This Digambar Cowmuth must be the offspring from the same or his decendants from Maharashtra. The same blood of Bandodkar is running in his veins, so he goes and adores him. Like Tulshidas Shirodkar said, this Cowmuth should be thankful to Dr. Jack Sequeira, or else he would never be able to sit on the CM's chair and loot Goa. Go and commit suicide by burninig yourself on Bandodkar's Samadhi if you love him so much.

  5. The good apple of fresh apples is spoilt by a few rotten ones. this is what is happening in Goa today. The crumb eaters adn other free dole eaters has ruined the system by terror inducing muscle power on the streets. the secret weapon is to exercise our secret vote and wipe these evils out. Looking at the results of CCP today, looks like crumb eaters are spread everywhere, the verdict is a mix signal. Are everyone afraid or the free doles more tastier?

  6. The only vision Bandorkar had was to merge Goa with Maharashtra, Thanks to Dr Jack Sequera that did not happen. All politicians have visions the current ones have vision to destroy the Land of Goa. Not fighting crime and corruption and encouraging the sale of Drugs pedaled their families and some of the law enforcers.

Was there ever a count done to check how Maharashtra's settled in Goa after the invasion of Goa in 1961? Bandodkar was a great manipulator that repeatedly brought him to power. He created the first political crumb eaters of Goa.
